The company will design, install, commission and validate the laboratories

Cleanroom Design and Construction (CDC), a specialist design and construction company based in Stourbridge, UK, has been commissioned by one of the region’s most successful fertility clinics to provide a new facility to allow for expansion.

CDC will design and build the 7,500ft2 ground floor – including laboratories and a clinical suite – of the new 15,000ft2 headquarters building for Midland Fertility Services in Tamworth.

As the principal contractor, CDC will design, install, commission and validate the laboratories, as well as carry out the other general building work required to transform the premises from their current use as offices into the new clinic.

Work has started on the new building, which is due to be complete by August.

CDC's Business Development Manager, Steve Heyes, said: 'We are delighted to be working in partnership with the Midlands’ largest independent clinic. Their laboratories will be at the cutting edge of reproductive technology, requiring exacting standards from our team of designers, engineers and managers.'

Gillian Lockwood, Medical Director at Midland Fertility, added: 'We selected CDC because of their track record of excellence in their field and are looking forward to a successful partnership that will deliver one of the most advanced IVF clinics in the UK.'
