Wins the Change for Growth Award after being shortlisted for three awards

Connect 2 Cleanrooms won the Change for Growth award at the BIBA Awards (Be Inspired Business Awards) 2013 on 20 September.

The company was shortlisted for three awards, Manufacturer of the Year, Exporter of the Year and Change for Growth.

These prestigious awards recognise and honour elite Lancashire businesses and winning the Change for Growth category is a highlight of the year for Connect 2 Cleanrooms.

The BIBA Awards are organised by the North West Chamber of Commerce and acknowledge the breadth of business achievement in Lancashire in all its variety.

Winning the Change for Growth award is a true reflection of where Connect 2 Cleanrooms is heading. After a recent move to much larger premises in Lancaster, the company is set to develop its product range and expand its already successful enterprise, both in the local and international cleanroom markets. The company is on an exciting journey, witnessing growth each year since its inception more than 11 years ago.

'Change with growth is inevitable, however, when reflecting on our business and discussing business development with peers, ‘resistance to change’ is frequently hailed as the biggest barrier to growth,' said Joe Govier, Managing Director of Connect 2 Cleanrooms. 'Well here we are, receiving an award for embracing what all businesses collectively recognise as one of the biggest business challenges.

I would like to thank customers, suppliers and my team for embracing change

'I would like to thank customers, suppliers and my team for embracing change and for the support we have received to date, as we look forward to the opportunities to come.'

With an increasing number of processes getting smaller and cleaner, as this innovative era brings new and emerging technologies, the cleanroom market is expected to grow. Connect 2 Cleanrooms says its solutions have huge market potential due to their flexibility and quality and the company is positioning itself to take advantage of the opportunity presented in this growing market.

Over the last 12 months, the company has invested in staff and so is equipped to improve its offering to customers. The workforce has expanded to include a Quality Manager, Finance Manager, European Project Manager and more Business Development Coordinators.

All the groundwork has now been put in place to make the transition from a small company to a big player in the cleanroom market and this award is in recognition of the company’s drive and ambition.

The awards ceremony was held at the Tower Ballroom in Blackpool and Eamonn Holmes presented the award. Highlights of the evening also included a performance by X Factor winner, Matt Cardle.

Connect 2 Cleanrooms creates modular cleanroom solutions for critical environments, both in the UK and internationally. The company designs and manufactures hard and soft wall cleanrooms in-house and delivers quality cleanroom solutions to meet the ISO 14644-1 standard. Its consumables division, Cleanroomshop.com, supplies a full range of consumables, equipment and furniture to the cleanroom industry worldwide.
