Company committed to supporting community initiatives to make a healthy lifestyle a priority
Contec was recently named a Good for You Spartanburg Worksite Partner, which represents the company’s commitment to supporting community initiatives in the Upstate of South Carolina. The partnership programme focuses on making a healthy lifestyle a priority through preventative health measures, and making healthy eating and physical activity more accessible and encouraged.
The Good for You Spartanburg campaign’s mission is 'To capture the broad-based grassroots, nonprofit, institutional and governmental support for the development of a healthy Spartanburg County' and its vision is to 'Improve health behaviours and prevent chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, cancer and stroke'. Good for You Spartanburg provides the community with several resources for eating healthily, getting active, and preventing disease through awareness and education.
In the coming year, with the help of the Good for You Spartanburg team, Contec will develop new strategies for achieving improved health outcome goals for employees.
