With ultraslim arms and optional space-saving bottom-side cable connection

Denso has added ISO 5 (Class 100) cleanroom versions of its VS-Series six-axis articulated robots to its portfolio.

These new VS-Series robots offer cycle times from 0.37 to 0.33sec and repeatability from ±0.03 to ±0.02mm. Reaches are from 500 to 900mm and payload capacities from 4 to 7kg.

The robots are also flexible, with a more compact design than previous models, including ultraslim arms to facilitate integration and a new optional bottom-side cable connection that saves on floor space. The robots can be mounted on the floor, ceiling or wall without needing any special hardware.

Typical cleanroom applications include assembly, dispensing, encapsulating and potting, insertion, inspection, laser welding, machine tending, material handling, nut driving, packaging, pick and place, press fitting, screw driving, soldering, test handling and ultrasonic welding.

Industries include aerospace, automotive, biomedical, chemicals, electronics, general manufacturing, injection moulding, life sciences, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, plastics and semiconductors.
