UK cleanroom garment specialist, Micronclean Newbury Ltd, has undergone a large refurbishment at its facility in Newbury and chose to install Dycem flooring in the new areas.

Dycem CleanZone and WorkZone have been installed in several new areas including two packaging areas and two changing areas.

Stuart Morton from Micronclean, which supplies a wide range of contamination control clothing services to the spectrum of cleanroom industries, said: ‘In order to maintain the high standards we require contamination control systems which work effectively and reliably. For over 25 years, Micronclean has chosen to use Dycem contamination control flooring to protect its critical environments and so the products were the clear choice for our refurbishment’

Dycem polymeric flooring and mats offer an effective route to preventing floor and wheelborne contamination from entering critical environments. A research study by Dr Caroline S Clibbon, senior microbiologist at GlaxoSmithKline showed that Dycem contamination control floor coverings and mats are over 99% effective in preventing contaminants from entering a critical area.

A representative from Micronclean said; “There are several areas where the Dycem Cleanzone still performs well after many years of continual use. Dycem flooring is extremely durable and we have found the quality of product and after sales service to be excellent. In our opinion there is no equivalent product that can match Dycem for performance and value for money.”

Dycem plays a vital part of an integrated contamination control programme. All the products in the range contain an antimicrobial agent during the original manufacture stage. The products are aloe silicon free, Dop- free, non-outgassing and non-particulating. Simple to install, the flooring remains effective for up to five years.

Dycem floorings are also included in Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and meet the requirements of all regulatory bodies including the FDA.
