FPS announces plans for a production plant expansion

The enlargement of the plant in Fiorenzuola d’Arda will give the company greater production flexibility and efficiency

FPS Food and Pharma Systems, a leader the design, manufacture and installation of fine size reduction machines for micronising and containment solutions for sterile and/or highly potent APIs, has announced plans to enlarge its plant in Fiorenzuola d’Arda.

The new facility will enable an important improvement in production process management and provide a significant increase in production capacity.

The new facility will be adjacent to the current site and will house a 3000m2 covered and 3000m2 uncovered area; it will be mainly dedicated to the assembly and testing of the company's systems, while another area will be dedicated to the assembly execution and storage of mock-ups.

It will also include a cafeteria, and a training area where technical workshops will be held in 2017.

The site was recently enlarged and modernised with offices and an R&D test center, to adapt to the needs of the steadily growing company.

'It has only been a few months since the inauguration of the new area dedicated to the R&D and the Test Center but steady development has made it necessary to now plan new works to strengthen the logistics structure for the future,' said Carlo Corsini - Vice President and Technical Manager.
