Filtrona Porous Technologies completes purchase of Lymtech Scientific
Expands into cleanroom and controlled environment wipes market
Filtrona, an international supplier of specialist plastic, fibre and foam products, has completed the acquisition of John R. Lyman Company and Big Blue Properties (together Lymtech Scientific) in its Porous Technologies division.
Porous Technologies, headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, manufactures custom handling components engineered from bonded fibre, polyurethane foam and porous plastic technologies for use in healthcare, consumer or industrial applications that require the absorption, filtration, transfer, venting, or controlled release of liquids and vapours.
Based in the US, Lymtech Scientific is a manufacturer and distributor of porous specialist wiping materials used within the clean environments required by the medical, life science, electronic and industrial markets.
The acquisition of Lymtech Scientific not only adds complementary technology in a growth segment to Filtrona Porous Technologies, but also adds a distribution channel.

UK-headquartered Filtrona has four operating divisions: Protection & Finishing Products, Porous Technologies, Coated & Security Products, and Filter Products.
