Microbiological services provider MVS moves to Sheffield

The specialist medical support services company has moved from Maltby to a new purpose-built facility


MVS Ltd, which offers a range of microbiological support services for medical device and surgical instrument manufacturers, packaging companies, hospital sterile service departments and pharmaceutical manufacturers, moved into new purpose built premises in Sheffield in June 2012.

The company, set up by managing director, Elise Crowther and operations director Emily Rodgers in 2003, now employs nine people and offers services including sterilisation validation, environmental monitoring, bioburden testing, sterility testing, water and detergent testing, and endotoxin testing.

The 4,500 ft2 facility, Martin House, in Cross Bedford Street was designed by Peter Noble of Sheffield architectural design consultancy Coda Studios.
