New face in LC-MS laboratory at RSSL Pharma

Peter Bennett has joined RSSL Pharma, based in Reading, Berkshire, UK to develop and expand the company's service using LC-MS technology, particularly in its application to biotechnology and studies of large biomolecules.

Bennett comes to RSSL from a French pharmaceutical company, which specialised in developing drugs for treating cardiovascular disease, diabetes and depression. RSSL Pharma has three LC-MS systems. Two triple-quad instruments are used routinely in quantitative investigations of known actives, degradation products and contaminants. A separate time-of-flight LC-MS is used in investigative work, looking for and identifying unknown impurities, contaminants and degradation products.
