Turns on the Tru-D disinfection system from outside the room

Rapid Disinfection Services (RDS), a UK supplier of UV disinfection systems, is using the iPad Mini to control the Tru-D UV-C light disinfection device that kills hospital superbugs.

The iTRU-D is operated remotely via an iPad Mini and turns on the ‘no-touch’ Tru-D robot from outside a room, minimising the need for human contact and the possibility of transferring dangerous germs.

It is estimated that more than 50% of surfaces are currently missed by traditional wiping, brushing and cleaning. The Tru-D device deep-cleans high touch surfaces and the air in a room to automate cleaning and remove the chance of human touch or error. It uses concentrated UV light technology and once it has been placed near the centre of the room, its patented Sensor360 technology instantly analyses the unique contents, shape and size of the room, then fills the targeted space with the lethal dose of UV light from a single placement.
