Acquisition complements Zenith Hygiene’s current offering and provides customers with a new sector of products and services

Zenith Hygiene Group, a UK-based manufacturer and supplier of cleaning and hygiene chemicals and products, has acquired ABC Hygiene for an undisclosed sum.

A provider of high-quality washroom services equipment, ABC Hygiene will provide Zenith Hygiene with a new sector of products for customers nationwide.

Founded in 2003 by Oliver Johnson and Karen Rook and based in Hertfordshire, UK, ABC Hygiene provides washroom services across a multitude of sectors, covering areas such as air purification and floor and entrance matting, vending solutions and nappy disposal, and feminine hygiene. The company caters to London and the Home Counties while also securing national coverage through the Independent Washroom Services Association (IWSA) network.

The firm will come under the Zenith Hygiene brand name with Johnson remaining in place to oversee operations and the transition.

Ringo Francis, Zenith Hygiene Group CEO, said: 'We are delighted to welcome Oliver and his team to the growing Zenith family. The washroom services market is experiencing substantial growth at the moment, and ABC Hygiene’s operations and specialist knowledge in this area perfectly complement our current offering. We will continue to seek out targeted and selective acquisitions to further complement our business.'

Earlier this year, Zenith acquired Rose Hygiene Products, based in Doncaster and Ipswich, UK.
