AES Clean Technology has appointed a new Chief Operating Officer. An experienced business leader, William Downs will assume his responsibilities immediately.
Prior to joining AES, Downs led two companies (SP Industries and Stock Equipment Company), where he had numerous impressive accomplishments including increasing revenue $60M over 5 years, increasing profitability 55% through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions, capturing savings through improvements in lean manufacturing and plant automation, and instituting a stage-gate process to drive new product innovations.
These are great examples of Bill's deep experience, which will position him well to help drive future success at AES.
"In this role, Bill will be responsible for supporting growth and profitability by focusing on the execution of AES' business imperatives. With Bill focusing on the execution, this will enable me to focus on our industry presence and enhance our prominence in the cleanroom marketplace," said Grant Merrill, CEO.
Bill received his MBA from Cleveland State University's Executive MBA programme and a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Technology from the University of Akron.
