Cleanroom validation is an important part of achieving cleanroom compliance, and in addition to validation prior to operation, further validation work is required during operation to ensure that a cleanroom continues to meet its ISO Class parameters. But how have the recent revisions to the ISO 14664 Standards changed this process, and how frequently should validations be carried out?

At this year’s Cleanroom Technology Conference, Joe Hughes, Validation Manager at Clean Air Solutions Europe, will be speaking about the ISO 14664 Standards and the requirements for cleanroom validation.

Joe Hughes is currently a GMP Validation Consultant, acting as an expert Advisory Group Member for the MHRA and he is a Founder Member of the International Cleanroom Testing and Certification Board,(I-CTCB).

Joe is also part of the Steering Committee for the Scottish Contamination Control Society, S2C2, and a regular speaker at S2C2 events. He provides consultancy and auditing of pharmacies, radio pharmacies, gene therapy and radiopharmacy cleanrooms within the NHS Trust.

Author of several published papers such as What is a Cleanroom?, What is Cleanroom Validation? and What is GMP?, Joe Hughes is also a lecturer on Cleanroom Management and Maintenance at the Open University MK.

Designed to highlight best practice and regulations affecting both cleanroom design and cleanroom operation across various sectors, the 2017 Cleanroom Technology Conference is a must attend event for those working in controlled environments and cleanrooms.

The Cleanroom Technology Conference will take place on 12-13 September, at the National Conference Centre, Birmingham.
