New P-SRF technology delivers better performance and greater cost-efficiency
Donaldson's new P-SRF filters
Donaldson Company, a leading worldwide manufacturer of filtration systems and parts, has introduced the next generation of sterile air filters with its new P-SRF line.
The advanced technology of P-SRF filters lowers production costs while improving the purity of air used in product processing and packaging.
The P-SRF filter line includes two new variations:P-SRF V, a borosilicate depth media suitable for final filtration of processes and venting applications; and P-SRF X, a pleated PTFE final membrane filter in a strong stainless-steel housing designed for extreme conditions and temperatures.
Both filters deliver the following advantages:
When combined, these advances greatly decrease production downtime and maintenance costs in facilities that use sterile compressed air to make products ranging from food and beverages to pharmaceuticals and medical products.
“P-SRF filters are a big leap forward in producing sterile air,” said Chris Lehmann, North American product manager for Donaldson Company’s Process Filtration division. “The technology delivers better performance and a lower cost of ownership.”
The P-SRF V will replace the current P-SRF N filter elements from Donaldson, while P-SRF X is an all- new PTFE membrane filter element with proprietary media and a protective stainless-steel cage housing for extreme conditions.
“Today’s production lines are under heavy demands,” says Lehmann. “These two filters will keep manufacturing facilities up and running with lower overall costs and greater reliability.”
All P-SRF filter elements comply with FDA CFR Title 21 as well as the European Food Contact Regulation EC/1935/2004.
