Efaflex, the high-speed door specialist, is set to showcase its range of high-speed industrial doors at Foodex 2018. The trade show will open on16-18 April at The Nec in Birmingham.
An experienced business partner for the food processing, packaging, and logistics industry, Efaflex has designed, manufactured, installed and maintained energy saving doors for over 40 years. The company has completed thousands of installations with a global client base, many within the food related supply chain.
Darren Turrell, Managing Director for Efaflex UK, explained: "We will be demonstrating three of our door options, each of which has specific and unique benefits to the Foodex visitors. It’s so important to us that people can see first-hand the speed with which the doors open. Saying ‘4 meters per second’ might not sound that fast, but seeing it in action is impressive even to me after years of installations.
"Plus, we want visitors to experience the feel of the door quality and then they can begin to understand how our doors can perform 250,000 operating cycles per year."
The unique features of Efaflex's products make them ideal for the processing, packaging, and logistics sector. The company is known to offer the first truly single leaf door solution for deep freeze areas. The door operates fast with the best insulation values for spiral doors, meaning a potential saving of 50% on heating costs when compared with other door solutions. This unique design enables heat transfer coefficients of as low as 0.62W/m2K in operational temperatures between +30ºC and -30ºC making it ideal for cold stores and loading areas.
Turrell continued: "It’s a delicate balancing act for chilled and frozen food processors; that of maintaining consistent temperatures, air purity, reducing the impact on ambient areas whilst of course maintaining productivity. Efaflex will be showcasing a range of door options on their stand Y271 including the SST-TK deep freeze door and the STT high-speed turbo door. Project Managers will be on hand to demonstrate product’s unique benefits and offer advice.
Foodex is free to attend, and gives visitors access to five shows under one roof; with over 1,200 suppliers in one exhibition centre.
