Ertec unveils modular cleanroom on a skid

The module offers a cost-effective, flexible alternative to building an new cleanroom

Ertec, a French company involved in the planning and implementation of cleanrooms and controlled environments, unveiled a new modular cleanroom concept at the French cleanroom show Contaminexpo held this week in Paris.

Cleanskid is a modular cleanroom built onto a steel skid that can be craned into place, providing an ISO Class 5 to ISO Class 7 environment for immediate use.

The mini controlled environment has all the required features of a hygienic cleanroon, i.e., special flooring, crevice-free coving, flush windows and doors and lighting. It has electrical power connections ready to plug in and air handling units on the ceiling.

The product can be bought outright or leased and is suitable for a variety of industry sectors looking for a small modular cleanroom area that is relatively cheap and quick to install.

Founded in 1974, Ertec povieds environmental control services, including planning, maintenance activities and plant validation, to the chemical, pharmaceutical, medical device, electronics, mems and many other sectors.

The company also offers a similar modular, skid-based coldroom called Coldskid and a mini ISO 5 to ISO 8 tent structure called CleanIgloo. This can be assembled in just two hours as an emergency chamber and is flexible, washable and sterilisable for decontamination after use.
