Extract Technology recently supplied a 4-glove single chamber weighing isolator with airlock to French pharmaceutical company Oril Industrie.
Designed with operator ergonomics in mind and an integrated nitrogen purge system, the weighing isolator provides operator protection during the dispensing of active pharmaceutical powder material, maintaining <1 µg/m3 over an 8 hour TWA. In addition to operator protection, further key functions of the bespoke system include an anaerobic environment, providing protection to the product.
Incorporating a product handling chamber with interlocked airlock manufactured from a 3mm thick 316L stainless steel body, the weighing isolator hosts a user-friendly control systems for essential operations, pre-defined to incorporate key Extract Technology safety features. Special features also include a bag out port facility, cleaning system wash gun and drain down valve to meet user requirements.
According to Oril Industrie, the Extract team demonstrated was both rigour and adaptability to its specific needs. The company was also satisfied with the service provided during the mock-up and the start-up of the isolator and with the quality of the technical documents, as well as the utilisation and maintenance guides. The result is that the weighing isolator is efficient and user friendly.
