The German cleanroom builder seeks plumbing, wiring and cleanroom materials for the Wisconn Valley Science & Technology Park

Germany's Exyte is overseeing work on Foxconn Technology Group’s Mount Pleasant manufacturing campus. The specialist in controlled and regulated environments is seeking businesses interested in supplying design-related products for the first manufacturing facility on the site.

The project in Wisconsin requires product information from design vendors, manufacturers and distributors looking to be suppliers for the first LCD fabrication facility and related buildings in Area 1 of the Wisconn Valley Science & Technology Park.

Potential products include paint materials, plumbing, wiring and cleanroom materials.

In April, Wisconsin Revenue Secretary, Peter Barca, said: "You know, Foxconn had committed that 25% of their subcontracts go to Wisconsin companies. That could be US$1.4 billion in contracts for the state, in terms of state revenues. That's vitally important.”

Interested firms can submit their information online and it will be routed to the appropriate discipline lead.

This is Taiwan-based Foxconn’s first manufacturing facility on the site. The world's largest electronics manufacturing services provider will build the nearly 1 million sqft LCD fabrication facility. The Foxconn building seems to have President Trump's support, WUWM Milaukee reported that the company was convinced not to pull the project after discussions with the US leader.

The building is set for completion in early 2021. A Foxconn executive most recently referenced the Q4 2020 date in a press release on June 19, said WUWM.
