Filtration Group has completed the acquisition of the Porous Technologies business of Essentra. The deal significantly broadens the company’s customer base and product portfolio.

The deal, which Cleanroom Technology reported on September 2016, valued Porous Technologies at £220 million free of cash and debt.

“The addition of the Essentra Porous Technologies business increases our capabilities for our customers,” said George Nolen, Filtration Group CEO.

“This acquisition furthers our mission of becoming an innovative global filtration solution provider.”

Filtration Group, an affiliate of Madison Industries, creates innovative filtration solutions for customers in life sciences, process technologies, fluid and indoor air quality applications.

Essentra Porous Technologies’ products support essential bio medical procedures such as disease detection and prevention, laboratory testing and genetic analysis. Its innovations are found in a wide range of products from electronics to household applications.

The acquisition broadens Filtration Group’s global presence by adding operations in the US, Asia and Europe.
