Removes residues from cleanrooms and stainless steel processing equipment

Foamtec International’s Sahara corrosion cleaning system is said to be a safe, environmentally friendly and reliable means of cleaning corrosion, rouging and residues from cleanrooms and stainless steel processing equipment.

The US firm says the Sahara system controls corrosion without the use of hazardous chemicals, which can cause safety, environmental and product contamination risks.

The system replaces passivation chemistry with cleanroom grade scrubbing sponges and wipes. Instead of using an acid-based solution, the system requires the use of DI or USP-grade water and 70% isopropyl or ethyl alcohol, which can be used safely on a weekly basis.

“The Sahara corrosion cleaning system is the first solution of its kind,” said Clay Foutch, Foamtec’s vp of sales, Life Sciences.

“I'm excited to be involved with a product that allows facilities technicians to maintain stainless steel equipment in like-new conditions with only water and 70% alcohol.”
