Garlock broadens portfolio with Rubber Fab acquisition

Expands its presence and scale in the hygienic market

Garlock, a US manufacturer of high-performance fluid sealing products, has acquired the business and assets of Rubber Fab Gasket & Molding through its parent company EnPro Industries.

Rubber Fab, headquartered in Sparta, NJ, supplies high performance sanitary gaskets, hoses and fittings for hygienic process industries such as pharmaceutical, bio-processing and food & beverage.

No financial details have been revealed, but Garlock said the addition of Rubber Fab expands the firm’s presence and scale in the hygienic market while complementing its existing sealing solutions to provide a comprehensive portfolio.

Both companies recently exhibited their pharmaceutical and bio-processing solutions at Interphex in New York.

Garlock offers the Gylon range of gaskets, Gylon Bio-Line hygienic seals, One-Up diaphragms for AODD pumps, and the PS-Seal for critical rotating shaft applications.

Rubber Fab's products include Tuf-Steel, Tuf-Flex, Torque- Rite, Smart Gasket, Detectomer, ADI Free and Smart Clamp.

'End-users, specification engineers and equipment manufacturers working across the pharmaceutical and bio-processing industry continue to demand more from their sealing and component suppliers,' said Garlock's Vice President of Global Sales and Business Development, Brad Lodge. 'By welcoming Rubber Fab into the Garlock family of companies, we can leverage the combined reach and experience of both companies, and ensure that we provide the largest portfolio of high performance sealing and fluid path solutions.

'This deal demonstrates our commitment to continued growth and innovation in this industry, and allows us to better serve customers across the world with our range of process solutions.'
