The global cleanroom technology market is currently estimated to be worth US$3bn and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 4.98% over the next five years reaching $3.83bn by 2020, a new report by Research and markets forecasts.

The report, Global Cleanroom Technology Market – Market Trends and Forecasts (2015–2020), finds that the market is dominated by North America, followed by Europe, owing to the technological advancements and innovations taking place in the healthcare industry.

But the expanding healthcare/pharmaceutical market, with continued government initiatives towards safety of products and increasing demand for better quality healthcare products in emerging markets, will generate significant growth for cleanroom technology by 2020.

India and China will be the fastest-growing countries adopting cleanroom technology for the forecast period, the report says.

Global cleanroom technology is segmented based on equipment, construction type, garments, consumables, application, end-users and geography. As per equipment classification, the market is segmented into cleanroom air showers, HVAC System, HEPA filters, desiccator cabinets, environmental monitoring system, glove boxes and isolators. The construction segment is classified into hard wall cleanrooms, soft wall cleanrooms, terminal boxes/pass-through cabinets and standard/drywall cleanrooms. Finally, the apparel segment is divided into suits, shoes, Tyvek garments, polypropylene garments and aprons.
