The 1023 is a 550ºF, electrically-heated, Class 100 cleanroom cabinet oven from Grieve. It is currently used for curing small rubber pieces in rotating drums at the customer’s facility.

The oven measures 26in W x 26in D x 60in H. The chamber is heated using 36kW Incoloy-sheathed tubular elements, while a 2000 CFM, 2-HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow to the workload.

The 1023 features 6in insulated walls, a Type 304, 2B stainless steel interior with ½in inside radius corners and all seams welded, ground and polished, a top-mounted heat chamber, two motorised stainless steel shafts cantilevered through the rear wall of the oven with a drum coupling device to rotate the loads, four 18in diameter x 18in deep perforated stainless steel drums with internal stirring paddles and access doors on one end.

The oven also contains 24in x 24in x 6in thick HEPA fresh air filters with 2in prefilters and two 24in x 24in x 12in thick stainless steel, high-temperature HEPA recirculating filters.

Controls on the 1023 include all safety equipment required for handling flammable solvents, solid state heater control relays, a circuit breaker disconnect switch, automatic door switch to shut off the heaters and drum drive when the door is opened, plus a minihelic pressure gauge and validation port across each set of filters on the oven.
