Cherwell Laboratories, a UK-based specialist in cleanroom microbiology solutions, has hired Martyn Young as Operations Director. The appointment follows a period of growth for the company and marks its commitment to further strengthening the business, while maintaining the traditional values which have contributed to its success.
Having joined the Board at Cherwell, Young will work alongside Managing Director, Andy Whittard, developing future strategic plans for the business.
Prior to joining Cherwell, Young’s career has been predominantly in manufacturing. He initially specialised in Quality and Quality Management before broadening his managerial and technical skills by moving into Production Process Engineering, followed by Production Management and then General Management.
Most recently, he has been actively engaged in the development of products and processes suitable for deployment in aseptic liquid drug filling environments. Here he worked with equipment suppliers, drug filling companies, environmental management, regulatory authorities, sterilising method providers, as well as the pharmaceutical clients.
Young has also previously led organisations in the development, manufacture and supply of drug device combination products for parenteral drug delivery.
