Nano Mask is the inventor of the 2H Technology filtration system

Nano Mask (NMI), a US healthcare product development and distribution company focused on emergency and critical care as well as infection control, has opened a sales, marketing and distribution office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to service customers in the Middle East and tap into demand for its products in the region.

David Willoughby, NMI's vp of sales and marketing, will be based in Riyadh for the next 6–12 months and work closely with NMI's Saudi Arabian partners to develop sales and distribution channels in the region.

NMI previously announced a distribution agreement with a Saudi Arabia-based medical products distributor, which will represent NMI's on an exclusive basis in: Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, Egypt, Morocco, Oman, Algeria, Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain, Sudan, Lebanon, Yemen and Tunisia.

This firm, having already placed significant orders with NMI, has agreed to order a minimum of more than US$2m worth of product over the next four years.

The products to be marketed and sold in the above-named countries are: NMI’s emergency life support and respiratory products (using the firm’s 2H Technology), antimicrobial hospital barrier products and proprietary bacteria free enzymatic medical detergents formulated for instrument reprocessing.

NMI’s 2H Technology is an advanced dual filtration system that removes infectious bacteria and virus from airflow systems. It combines hydrophobic and hydrophilic filters to remove moisture and particulates from exhaled breath. Bacteria and viruses, requiring the presence of moisture for growth and transmission, are isolated and contained within the system.

Tested to remove 99.99% of virus and bacteria at 0.027 micron particle size, 2H Technology was initially designed as a filtration technology that would ensure the safety of rescuers by virtually eliminating risk of cross-contamination during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

In addition to the company's advanced filtration materials and products, NMI also markets infection control products ranging from proprietary enzymatic instrument reprocessing solutions to innovative antimicrobial textiles in the US and internationally.
