NewAge Industries hires new Director of Quality and Finance Director

High-purity tubing manufacturer promotes from within

NewAge Industries has promoted Mary Marcus and Mary Vander Neut.

Marcus is the company’s new Director of Quality, while Vander Neut fills a new position, that of Finance Director. Both women have been with the company for several years.

As Director of Quality Marcus is responsible for all aspects of NewAge Industries’ quality programme, such as developing and administering its Quality Management System (QMS), training, data and root cause analyses, process improvements and facilitating change throughout the organisation.

Her duties apply to NewAge’s industrial plastic and rubber tubing and its AdvantaPure high purity tubing and single-use components for the pharmaceutical and biopharma industries. She heads a team of nine.

Marcus joined NewAge Industries more than six years ago as a Buyer/Planner and her ability to immerse herself in a project and focus on the company’s and its customers’ needs soon led to a promotion to Project Manager. She later became Associate Director of Quality, learned her new responsibilities over several months and took over as Director at the start of this year.

Vander Neut joined the company in 2002 as a Sales Representative for its plastic and rubber tubing. Her interest in finance and business led her to continue her college education while working full time, graduating with a BA in Accounting.

She then worked in the company’s Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable departments and was promoted to Assistant Controller in 2010. In 2012, she also took over NewAge’s Human Resources responsibilities.

Vander Neut was promoted to Finance Director on 1 January this year.
