New Cleanroom Award offered by Germany’s ReinraumAkademie

Published: 18-Jul-2012

The Leipzig based academy is calling on potential participants to get their entries in by September

A new Cleanroom award for innovation has been introduced and will be showcased in October 2012, at the Cleanzone show in Frankfurt, Germany. The Award carries a cash prize of €3,000 (£2,350).

Initiated by Frank Duvernell, the managing director of the ReinraumAkademie, the prize will be awarded to a concept that pioneers progress for the cleanroom sector, with regard to innovation, sustainability and efficiency. The organisers are looking for concepts that go beyond merely the further development of existing products or services.

“Any innovation that advances the cleanroom sector can be submitted: for example, surfaces that don’t get dirty, indestructible air filters, gloves that don’t cause sweating, or perhaps a completely new cleanroom design that calls all previous concepts in to question."

Both companies and individuals can enter the competition by applying to the ReinraumAkademie in Leipzig by 1 September 2012. An international jury from the fields of research and teaching, as well as representatives from the cleanroom sector, will elect five finalists who can then showcase their idea in October 2012 at the Cleanzone in Frankfurt. The public attending the show will then get the chance to vote for the winner.

Please send your completely finished concept (5 to 15 pages) as a PowerPoint, in PDF format, or in writing by 1 September, 2012 to: Frau Annett Michel, ReinraumAkademie GmbH, Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße 12-14, 04103 Leipzig, Germany (e-mail: annett.michel@reinraum-akademie.de)
