New glovebox controls relative humidity or oxygen levels

Process protection provided by eliminating moisture or oxygen with a flow of inert gas

The new Nitrogen Purge series of gloveboxes from Flow Sciences allows the user to purge relative humidity (RH%) or oxygen (O2) levels down to approximately 2%.

These enclosures are said to be capable of protecting the process by almost eliminating moisture or oxygen with a flow of inert gas.

Operator and process safety is accomplished with HEPA filtration, a one-way check valve and the ability to connect to an in-house exhaust system.

Using AGS guidelines, the glovebox is designed with a 28-inch depth and 10-inch oval glove ports, which minimise technician arm, wrist, and shoulder fatigue while maintaining a controlled environment.

The Nitrogen Metering System (FS1500) is designed to conserve nitrogen. It features trending graphs that display RH%, O2 and temperature. There are two adjustable flow rates: high flow purge and low flow maintenance. The nitrogen-saving auto shut-off activates, with audio and visual alarms, when a set RH% or O2 point is exceeded. The Nitrogen Purge gloveboxes are available in 3ft and 4ft widths and two exhaust options.
