New laser production building for Trumpf

Published: 3-Jul-2013

Investment in the new building doubles the amount of available production floor space

Trumpf Laser Marking Systems has expanded its laser product development and manufacturing operations in Grüsch, Switzerland by about 3,300m2 with a new building. The building is fitted out with an isolated cleanroom to meet high cleanliness standards that the company says will be significant in terms of product quality.

Investment in the new building is around CHF17m (€13.7m) and doubles the amount of available production floor space.

The investment represents a commitment to the Grüsch campus in Prättigau Valley, in the Canton of Graubünden, a major centre for development and production of solid state lasers.

Barkow Leibinger architectural offices, in Berlin, were responsible for the planning and construction of the facility.
