Modular cleanroom manufacturer, Connect 2 Cleanrooms, has launched a subsidiary business, cleanroomshop.com.



The on-line service offers a range of products, including modular cleanrooms, filter fan units, monitoring and validation equipment, cleanroom furnishings and consumables.

Connect 2 Cleanrooms is based within the UK, but is looking to set up distribution facilities in Ireland and mainland Europe.

The company says the launch of the site is the end of 12 months of work in research, web programming and distribution negotiations.

Cleanroomshop.com has signed agreements with a number of global companies, including CCA for Tyvek disposables, Paxton for cleanroom storage solutions, and Vernon Carus for saturated wipes and cleaning aids.

The site is said to be unique in the industry, as no other company currently offers such a wide range of products which can be directly purchased from its site through secure connections, with options to buy in euros or UK sterling. Payments can be made by credit card, or an account facility is available to accepted customers.

Joe Govier, managing director, said: "I believe all we are doing is giving what the customer wants and that is good quality, good value, upfront pricing with a quick delivery. The power of the internet now allows customers to search and find products without wasting a lot of time and cost. Internet sourcing is the future due to these massive advantages."

The latest company to sign-up with the on-line shop is Facility Monitoring Systems, which sells a range of particle counting and environmental monitoring systems. This is the first time that FMS has distributed its product through the internet and it hopes to reach a broader client base through the website.

"The signing of this distribution with FMS is very significant as it completes the range of product groups we aim to sell" says Govier. "We hope to continue with the growth of the site and we are sure the relationship with FMS will be a successful one for both parties, with the ultimate winner being the new end users we can reach."
