The US-based company has completed the first phase of the upgrade plan for its cleanroom packaging business

PPC Flexible Packaging has completed the first phase of multimillion-dollar facilities and equipment investment aimed at expanding and further upgrading production capacities for its cleanroom packaging business Precision Clean. The company purchased the Buffalo Grove-based business as Fisher Container Corporation in February 2017.

Worth more than US$2 million, the comprehensive plan includes enlarging production infrastructure for its ISO certified Class 4 and 7 cleanrooms, adding several new pouch making machines, upgrading testing equipment, and installation of a new ERP system.

In addition to the physical upgrades, the company has added key roles to its team including production and quality associates and additional product development engineering resources.

“We’re excited to announce this expansion which will allow us to meet growing demand with a wider selection of products,” said Brian Ivey, VP sales, Precision Clean Packaging. “These new capabilities will increase our capacity and product offering to PPC’s valued customers and position us well for the underlying growth we are experiencing in our healthcare and critical environment packaging markets.”

The second phase of this project will include the installation of a new state-of-the-art pouch machine in the third quarter of 2018.

Based in Buffalo Grove, Illinois (US), PPC Flexible Packaging provides cleanroom and consumer packaging for the healthcare, snack, organic, “better-for-you,” and produce markets. The company is privately owned by management and Morgan Stanley Capital Partners.
