Expands its position in handheld and remote particle counter technology

Particles Plus, a US developer of particle counters and vacuum pumps headquartered in Stoughton, MA, US, has bought Airy Technology of Orem, Utah, a manufacturer of handheld and remote particle counter technology, for an undisclosed sum.

'This is the first of several steps that will take Particles Plus to a leadership position within the indoor air quality, contamination monitoring and controlled environments markets,' said Adam Giandomenico, President of Particle Plus.

Airy Technology has 105 distributors in 27 countries and has established itself as one of the world's largest suppliers of handheld particle counters. The company's headquarters will relocate to Stoughton, where it will continue to operate as an independent company. It also has operations in Japan and China.

'Airy Technologies' founder Kozo Amemiya has done a phenomenal job building the company as it achieved significant growth in just four years. He will continue to lead the company as its Vice President of Business Development and we are pleased to have him join the Particles Plus management team,' added Giandomenico.
