PSL has developed a new aseptic ChargePoint high containment split butterfly valve that can be sterilised in place, enabling powder transfer without risk of contamination to the product or exposure to the operator’s environment.
Such valve systems are widely used in the pharmaceutical industry, but until now they could not be sterilised in situ. The design of the Sterile ChargePoint enables products to be transferred in a sterile manner, by creating an intermediate chamber that can be sterilised before each product transfer.
