Protector glove boxes display real time performance data

Offer particulate containment that meets ISO Class 4 standards

Labconco’s new Protector HEPA-filtered and ULPA-filtered glove boxes offer enhanced particulate containment and now provide operators with real-time performance data on internal static pressure, air volume flow rates in cubic feet per minute and total air volume changes per minute.

The Protector series from the Kansas City, Missouri, US-based firm provides inlet and outlet HEPA or ULPA filtration and a leak-tight physical barrier to protect the operator from exposure to potentially hazardous materials.

The glove boxes feature particulate containment <20ng/m3 as confirmed by Safebridge Consultants and also meet ISO Class 4 standards.

During perimeter scan testing 0.05ppm average tracer gas levels or less can be detected during perimeter scan testing (surpasses ASHRAE 110 standards) after five-minute dilution.

Airborne particulate cleanliness exceeds ISO Class 5 conditions (equivalent to Class 100) and achieves ISO Class 4 conditions.

In addition, the Protector features a test port for challenging HEPA or ULPA filter integrity; a bag-in/bag-out filter disposal system for safe filter removal and replacement; and an LCD display that provides realtime monitoring of volume dilution rates in cubic feet per minute (CFM), air changes/minute (ACM), and main chamber pressure (inches of water).

The neoprene gloves are 0.015in thick, 30in long and size 9 ¾ and the two 8in ID epoxy coated aluminium double-grooved glove ports are mounted 17in apart.
