Samsung to build US$7bn chip factory in China

South Korean electronics giant Samsung Electronics has unveiled plans to invest US$7bn to build its first chip factory in China.

Samsung said it would initially spend $2.3bn on establishing a 10nm NAND flash memory production line in Xi’an, China to meet growing market demand for NAND products.
