The project will enable food companies to keep up with new safety standards and mitigate supply chain risks

Sealed Air, a multinational that supplies food packaging solutions to the food sector, and Alchemy Systems, a provider of solutions that help food and retail companies drive safety and productivity, have agreed a partnership in Latin America and North America to help both food producers and exporters meet growing and changing industry regulations by identifying and addressing risks in their supply chains.

“We’re partnering with Alchemy to provide insight driven e-learning solutions to our global customers,” said Karl Deily President of Food Care at Sealed Air. “This offering will enable them to continuously enhance their operations, while addressing the growing demand for compliance to local and international standards.”

Sealed Air offers expertise and technology to deliver insights in real time to proactively manage food supply chains. By using predictive and remote tracking technology, a company can track production and operations, improve food traceability and keep food safe from contamination.

With the right data and information in hand, Alchemy builds customised, compliance driven e-learning and offers consulting for the food industry. Their focused programs help companies achieve important certifications such as Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and prepare for new standards such as the Food Safety Modernisation Act (FSMA).

“The entire food supply chain, from growers to processors to retailers, is working hard to improve food safety programs in the light of consumer and regulatory pressures,” said Jeff Eastman, Alchemy CEO. “The Sealed Air and Alchemy partnership will help food companies accelerate progress on building robust and sustainable food safety programs.”
