The deal will mean the consulting and engineering firms can now offer a broader scope of services to engineering pharmaceutical clients

Consulting and engineering company Tebodin Netherlands, part of Bilfinger, and UK-based Haden Freeman (HF) have signed a cooperation agreement to further expand into providing engineering services to the pharmaceutical market in the UK.

The agreement will see the two companies come together to jointly service the UK’s Pharmaceutical industry, providing consulting and engineering services and leveraging HF’s UK expertise, and Tebodin’s international expertise.

Playing to the individual strengths of each company, the agreement forms part of Tebodin’s growth strategy 2020, while it also fits within Haden Freeman’s plans to continue growing the Group and strengthen its pharma offering. There are further plans in place to expand the agreement to additional markets, including chemicals.

Ron Blokzijl, Director at Tebodin responsible for North West Europe said: ‘Haden Freeman has a good reputation within the UK for high quality engineering design and construction services. Both companies sit within a similar engineering space and have both cultural and technical synergies. That means there is an excellent fit when it comes to the cooperation agreement. By approaching the market together we are able to not only offer a far more complete service to our existing clients but also to new companies who can see the benefits of this holistic service. We look forward to a solid and long-lasting cooperation.’

Wayne Baxter, Managing Director of HF, said: ‘Here at Haden Freeman, we have provided the pharmaceutical industry for many years with primary engineering solutions for everything from plant expansions to HAZOP studies. However, areas such as pharmaceutical architecture, HVAC and the provision of cleanroom environments were not our specialism.
