TechnoPharm 2011 to focus on cleanroom technology

More than 40 companies will present their products in the Cleanroom Village, ranging from carrying out filter scans in cleanroom cubicles to simulating a fumigation cycle

Some 16,000 visitors from more than 70 countries will again meet around 1,000 exhibitors in Nuremberg from 11–13 October to look for pioneering innovations, discuss problems and present solutions at this year’s TechnoPharm, where the focus will be on cleanroom technology.

Organised in parallel with POWTECH, the International Trade Fair for Mechanical Processing Technologies and Instrumentation, around 100 of the exhibiting companies are involved with cleanroom technology. With the Cleanroom Village, supported by TÜV SÜD Cleancert, and the CleanRoomCongress, organised by APV (International Association for Pharmaceutical Technology) and Concept Heidelberg, Nuremberg offers an efficient platform for planning, building and operating cleanrooms and ultra-clean facilities in production, research and laboratories.

More than 40 companies will present their products in the Cleanroom Village, ranging from carrying out filter scans in cleanroom cubicles to simulating a fumigation cycle. Another application shows a dosing process using a specially made package unit. During the CleanRoomCongress, which will be held in German, case studies by Sanofi, Boehringer Ingelheim, Fresenius Kabi, F. Hoffmann-La Roche, Lonza, Haupt Pharma and Aukamm Pharma will explain how the requirements of regulatory authorities and processes can be implemented in a cleanroom environment. Papers, poster presentations and demonstrations will supplement the case studies with new technical solutions.

The requirement for easy-to-clean plants and plant components has long ceased to be limited to food and pharmaceutical producers. Other industries are increasingly recognising the advantages of hygienic design. This is reflected in a desire to make cleaning processes more efficient, which in turn requires the use of easy-to-clean plant components and the automation of cleaning processes.

This trend will be addressed in a new, specialist show – “easy to clean” – at POWTECH / TechnoPharm 2011, organised by NürnbergMesse together with the magazines Pharma+Food and Chemie Technik. This focus offers interested visitors a preliminary selection of the exhibitors covering this segment as soon as they arrive in the central (Mitte) entrance area, and will make their visit as effective as possible.
