Thermo Fisher delivers Type II water

Published: 30-Nov--0001

Thermo Fisher Scientific offers purification systems to meet the needs of laboratories requiring Type II water. From preparing microbiological media and buffers to washing glassware and feeding laboratory equipment such as autoclaves and water baths, the company says the water purification systems can fit any pure water need.

The Barnstead TII is an intelligent and flexible water purification system, which produces water that exceeds the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) and the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute-Clinical Laboratory Reagent Water (CLSI-CLRW) Type II water standards.

With total organic carbon (TOC) content below 5ppb, it provides highly pure feed water to the Thermo Scientific Barnstead Nanopure systems and links with the Thermo Scientific Barnstead TII Storage Reservoir. With an exclusive flow pattern that re-circulates water between the unit and storage reservoir, degradation as a result of storage is eliminated.
