Job Brief

Guardtech Cleanrooms are a Cleanroom Design & Construction company, building controlled technical production environments and providing engineering solutions for the STEM sector with clients namely in the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Aerospace, Biotechnology and Semiconductor industries.

Guardtech have an ever growing project portfolio ranging from installs of £10k to £10 million in value and from 4 to 4,000 metres squared in scale. The business is now seeking an energetic, dynamic project manager toward the start of their PM journey, looking to make a name for themselves, supporting the Operations Director in the management of high value projects and coordinating small projects independently with support.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the project manager and project team with project delivery, documentation and control, project cost review and control, scheduling, and construction supervision efforts. In order to be successful, this candidate should feel comfortable taking on many tasks that require various skills, and appropriately prioritising those tasks' completion.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with on-site and off-site management to ensure project success
  • Ensure project plan is moving forward to meet anticipated deadlines
  • Provide clear and consistent communication to clients and project stakeholders
  • Processes owner billings and project related accounting issues
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of all projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensure technical feasibility
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
  • Use appropriate techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs such as RFI's and Monthly Valuations
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as required
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk analysis and management exercises to minimise project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Commit to and actively participate in a culture of continuous improvement
  • Take ownership

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction or Project Management or equivalent experience 1 - 3 years' of experience as a project coordinator, project engineer, or project manager Strong experience in AutoCad and Microsoft Office Suite Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards

Essentials

  • Full UK Driving License
  • Ability to commit to an average of 1 night away per week
  • Prepared to travel and work long days when the job demands

Beneficial

  • SMSTS or CSCS card holder would be a huge benefit
  • Able to confidently use Microsoft Projects
  • Understanding of Cleanrooms, HVAC, Filtration, Compressed Air, Purified Water or Process Gases
  • Prince 2 or equivalent PM framework certification
