Completes up to 40 washing cycles an hour

Wexiödisk, a Scandinavia-based supplier of washing appliances, has launched the WD-18CW flexible trolley washing machine in the UK market.

Designed for the health, transport and large-scale catering markets, the WD-18CW provides consistent hygiene standards, a high capacity, low operational costs and a compact footprint compared with many other leading models. A combination of quiet operation, enhanced ergonomics and easy operation means the trolley washer is versatile and robust, maintaining the working environment while also offering flexible cleaning for many different items.

With a footprint of 4.5m2, the WD-18CW is suitable for washing large, bulky items such as catering, dispenser, tray and rack trolleys, mobile workstations of different sizes or other items such as crates, boxes and stands. With three pre-programmed cycles, the trolley washer is able to complete up to 40 cycles an hour, while the large internal dimensions allow several smaller items to be washed together. In addition, the option of a single- or double-door machine, depending on the setup, allows users to operate a separate dirty and clean area, while also providing an efficient single-person function.

The Wexiödisk trolley washer is able to complete 40 washes an hour, yet uses just six litres of fresh water each wash

To ensure the highest levels of hygiene and the effective washing and drying of items, the WD-18CW uses fixed rinse arms in combination with a centrifugal spin, ensuring that even the most hard to reach areas are thoroughly cleaned. When drying, the spin cycle removes all water residues without applying heat to ensure the natural drying process is accelerated.

John Shepherd, UK & Ireland Country Manager for Wexiödisk, said: 'Ideal for washing many of the large, bulky items commonly found in health, retail and foodservice setups, the Wexiödisk trolley washer is able to complete 40 washes an hour, yet uses just six litres of fresh water each wash; up to eight times less than manually cleaning the equivalent trolley.'

The Wexiödisk WD-18CW is also designed to maintain the working conditions in a busy dishwashing setup, ensuring no hot air is discharged, noise is kept to a minimum and water and chemicals remain within the wash chamber at all times.

Fully compliant with Wexiödisk’s Web Service Tool, a remote observation system, the operator is able wirelessly to monitor the temperature of the wash as well as the health of the appliance. Additionally, operators can download fully compliant HACCP reports, a requirement for many of the regulatory bodies within the various industries.

The Web Service Tool also allows engineers to check for faults remotely with the operation of the machine, order parts, or even remotely over-ride the system to reduce downtime.
