To focus on public awareness of increasing infection rates and resistance to antibiotics

Zimek Technologies, a US supplier of decontamination technologies, has formed the Zimek Global Health Foundation to focus public awareness of increasing infection rates and bacteria becoming resistant to antibiotic drugs.

The Foundation will conduct infection control medical peer reviews on reducing infection rates using Zimek's automatic touchless decontamination systems, lab testing, pilot case studies, infection control technology research and development. In addition, it will distribute Zimek decontamination systems to underprivileged populations and disaster-stricken areas across the US and internationally.

“We are extremely excited to create meaningful public awareness for the need of life-saving infection control technology and to continue our important research and development capabilities to prevent the spread of infectious diseases,” said Jen Grosman, president of the board of directors for the Foundation.

Zimek Technologies, based in Tampa, Florida, has been developing and marketing its patented automatic Micro-Mist decontamination technologies for more than five years.
