Will extend life of light source products

Energetiq Technology, a US developer and manufacturer of ultra high-brightness light sources for use in analytical instrumentation, has built a clean manufacturing facility at its plant in Massachusetts. The 800ft2 (74m2) cleanroom will provide Class 1000 assembly capability to be used for optics assembly and manufacturing for Energetiq's Laser-Driven Light Source (LDLS) products.

“Our new clean manufacturing space will give us the capability to assemble and test our optics in a particulate-free environment, leading to significantly higher performing light source products with extended lifetimes,” said Claire Brown, director of operations at Energetiq Technology.

“Not only will our new cleanroom allow us to improve efficiency and increase volume production on our current LDLS light source products, it will also enable us to take on additional projects that require contamination-free production processes,” she added.

Energetiq's LDLS technology provides a reliable source of broadband DUV, visible, and NIR light for analytical applications requiring ultra-long lamp life.
