Amazon Filters eyes global pharma growth at Interphex

Published: 2-Apr-2026

A UK manufacturer is set to highlight innovations in critical process filtration for the global pharmaceuticals market at Interphex.

Amazon Filters will engage with senior decision makers from drugs and medicines firms, supply chain companies and regulators when it exhibits at the Manhattan show from 21 to 23 April 2026.

Experts from the 41-year-old company will demonstrate how its process filters, sanitary housings and customised filtration solutions support essential liquid and gas applications.

These span the complex, multi-step chemistry involved in making pharmaceutical APIs subsequently formulated into final drug products.

Visitors to stand 2462 will meet mechanical engineer and Sales Manager Riaz Esmail, alongside North America Business Development Manager Dan Knight and Marketing Executive Jack Pizzey.

Riaz said: “The key production areas to benefit from our filters and housings include API (active pharmaceutical ingredient) manufacturing, sterile products, liquid creams and ointments and product support utilities.

“Interphex is the ideal showcase for us to demonstrate the value of our products, tailored solutions and technical support to a global industry audience all in the same place at the same time.”

On the stand, Amazon Filters will present a range of filtration technologies used throughout pharmaceutical manufacturing that combine improved operator Health and Safety with optimised filtration processes.

They include containment systems that allow safe filter change outs when processing fluid and gas streams associated with the production of HPAPIs (highly potent active pharmaceutical ingredients).

Riaz added: “We will demonstrate how our SupaClean system can reduce operator exposure during the filtration of potent chemicals and API intermediates.

“As well as improved operator safety, we will show how SupaClean can be used for the efficient capture and recovery of valuable catalyst rare metals such as palladium and rhodium for reprocessing.

“The versatility of SupaClean also allows, in conjunction with our SupaCarb product, the improved decolourisation of APIs over technologies such as lenticulars.”

Solutions for water treatment will be under discussion too, including the use of filters such as SupaSpun II and SupaPore VPB which both support particulate removal and bioburden control in diverse applications.

Amazon Filters’ expertise in vent and gas filtration, ensuring gases used in critical areas such as fermenters, tank blanketing and venting are free from contamination, will be highlighted.

Products such as SupaPleat Plus, SupaPore PPG and sterilising-grade SupaPore TP PTFE filters are designed to meet these requirements, alongside specialist heated and
jacketed housings for demanding environments.

Visitors will learn how both depth and pleated filters support high-efficiency prefiltration and come with validated 0.2 µm sterilising-grade media for critical final filtration stages.

Solutions for steam filtration will be flagged too. They include SupaMesh stainless steel cartridges to ensure steam used for sterilisation is free from particulates, protecting both equipment and process integrity.

Another key focus will be on advanced filter housing capabilities, including sanitary housings designed for clean-in-place (CIP) and steam-in-place (SIP) operations.

Riaz added: “Stand visitors will learn how we manufacture standard and custom ranges of housings from initial design concepts through to machining, pressing and welding. This ensures consistent high-quality products fit for purpose and delivered on time worldwide.

“In reference to our R&D programme, we will explain how we have developed our portfolio with input from industry partners including global pharmaceutical companies.”

Interphex takes place at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in Manhattan. The event is seen as an ideal platform to air discussions around global advances in pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing alongside the requirements of regulatory compliance.

As well as its presence at Interphex for the second year running, Amazon Filters is set to exhibit at three industry events hosted by the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) in 2026.

These are the ISPE annual conference in Copenhagen in April, followed by events in Singapore in August and the USA in October.
