The US-based manufacturer has launched the new nitrile technology, which promises enhanced grip, comfort, and ESD protection across multiple sectors

SW Sustainability Solutions has introduced BioFlex360, a next-generation foam nitrile glove coating designed to deliver advanced performance in cleanroom and industrial settings.

The US-based manufacturer, headquartered in Union City, California, specialises in sustainable hand protection technologies and has built a reputation for innovations that combine safety, comfort, and environmental responsibility.

BioFlex360 has been engineered to eliminate the usual trade-offs between grip, dexterity, and durability.

The coating boasts a range of performance enhancements, including improved dry grip, electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection, breathability, and comfort.

According to the company, BioFlex360 delivers over 160% better dry grip compared to standard coatings, due to a microtextured palm that helps maintain control of tools and materials during repetitive handling tasks.

The coating has also been designed with high dexterity and tactility in mind. Its flexible structure supports precision and control, enabling wearers to perform fine motor tasks with ease.

The material allows users to detect shapes, textures, and surface details through the glove, making it suitable for detailed work in cleanrooms and other precision-driven environments.

In addition to performance, comfort is a core feature of the new coating.

The coating boasts a range of performance enhancements

The glove's breathable microchannel structure reduces sweat build-up, while a soft-touch polymer blend minimises hand fatigue over long periods of wear.

BioFlex360 meets and exceeds EN 388 and ANSI/ISEA 105 standards for abrasion resistance and durability.

It is also designed with sustainability in mind, incorporating SW’s EcoTek (trademarked)  technology, which supports waste reduction and broader ESG goals.

The coating is available in SW’s 18-gauge TotalForm (trademarked) A1 and A4 gloves, which are targeted at a wide range of applications, including:

  • General manufacturing: light assembly, inspection, packaging
  • Automotive: trim handling, maintenance, tyre inspection
  • Construction: tool use, drywall handling, general tasks
  • Logistics and warehousing: picking, inventory, pallet handling
  • Electronics: device assembly, screen and appliance handling
  • Aerospace: parts handling, routine servicing, cleaning
  • Facilities and maintenance: inspections, janitorial tasks
  • Landscaping: soil handling, garden tasks, planting

The company describes BioFlex360 as “performance with purpose,” aiming to provide a glove solution that not only protects but also enhances user productivity and supports sustainable practices in the cleanroom and industrial sectors.
