As an internationally active provider of innovative plastic solutions for medical technology, Weidmann Medical Technology AG is consistently committed to the highest production standards. In order to ensure this quality at the new production site in Arteaga, Mexico, a modern ISO class 8 clean room with an area of 800 m² was realised - especially for the production of medical diagnostic systems.
The project was characterised by demanding technical specifications and a tight schedule. In addition to the standard-compliant cleanroom classification, the focus was on integrating state-of-the-art building technology. As the general contractor, the NETZER GROUP was responsible for the complete project coordination.
High-quality cleanroom systems – flexible and modular
As part of the cleanroom fit-out, Lindner Group supplied and installed all cleanroom components according to the project's specific requirements.
To ensure safe and straightforward access to technical installations in the ceiling void during ongoing operations, Lindner installed the walk-on aluminium grid ceiling system Line 55A. With its slim visible width, this ceiling system provides a clean visual appearance and modern aesthetic.
Furthermore, closed sandwich ceiling elements were used as a plenum construction to cover the functional and hygienic requirements with a flexible, lightweight solution.
Precision lighting technology for controlled production conditions
To illuminate the cleanroom, RR-o LED luminaires were installed, whose flush-mounted glass panes are firmly connected to the ceiling panel – ideal for walk-on ceiling systems and an easy maintenance. The lighting concept was supplemented by TD-L teardrop luminaires, which are installed as surface-mounted luminaires on the strip louvre and are particularly suitable for laminar flow areas thanks to their powder-coated steel housing and their narrow structure.
Both systems ensure uniform, glare-free lighting in the cleanroom areas – essential for precise work in the production of medical diagnostic systems.
Custom cleanroom solutions
Sandwich panels were also used in the wall area. Their smooth surfaces are easy to clean and therefore ideal for a hygienic working environment in the cleanroom.
Integrated hinged and sliding doors, as well as high-speed doors, ensure controlled movement of personnel and materials between cleanroom zones. The access system was enhanced with the Inline 2 interlocking concept, which ensures contamination-free separation of sensitive areas.
Custom-built cleanroom furniture completes the project, providing durable, functional equipment for daily use in a highly sensitive production environment.
