AAF signs global licensing agreement with LPD Technologies

Will also acquire all plant assets of Filtration Advice

Air filtration specialist AAF International is strengthening its position in the high performance filtration market by signing a global licensing agreement with LPD Technologies.

AAF will gain access to LPD Technologies' patented filtration technology and in conjunction with the agreement will also acquire the plant assets of Filtration Advice.

AAF will use and further develop LPD Technologies’ embossed filter media manufacturing process. This allows for an increased media surface area over a smaller filter footprint, enabling better airflow across the filter media, enhancing the dust holding capacity of the filter, and extending the filter's life. AAF’s access to this technology will enable the company to introduce next-generation filtration products that offer improved energy savings, higher filter performance and increased filter life.

'LPD Technologies is a great fit with AAF’s growth strategy as we have the means to enhance this technology with our world class R&D organisation and existing AAF technologies. New product development is a key focus area for AAF to meet the changing needs of our customers,' said Peter Kurto, Chief Executive of AAF Global.

AAF expects to complete the acquisition of all Filtration Advice plant assets by 15 January.
