Engineers have a crucial role to play in the support and maintenance of sterilisation processes. From the commissioning and set up of autoclave cycles to ongoing maintenance, testing and support, the engineer has a significant impact on the efficiency and reliability of the autoclave.
This course covers the engineering of; equipment cycles for porous load autoclaves, fluid load autoclaves for media, buffers and terminal sterilisation, terminal sterilisation of fluids in glass and plastic containers, multicycle laboratory autoclaves and waste/discard cycles. Practical sessions include; air detectors, calibrations, leak identification, door seal maintenance and steam quality testing.
