This year's Cleanzone, which takes place on 21–22 October at Messe Frankfurt, Germany, will once again be following an interdisciplinary and international approach. Its two main areas of focus will be 'Life Sciences', which is aimed at the pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food, biotechnology and pharmacy industries, while 'Micro-technology' is aimed at applications in the microelectronics, micro-system technology, semiconductor, plastics and surface technology, aerospace, optics and laser technology, automotive, electronics and precision engineering industries. There are overlaps in the packaging solutions and medical technology areas.

One of the drivers of the interdisciplinary exchange at the event is Cleanzone Plaza, which has been given a new home in the centre of the trade fair and congress. This event stage, which is free of charge, not only hosts numerous events such as the presentation of the Cleanroom Awards by ReinraumAkademie, but is also a forum for exhibitors to share their experiences in actual working practice and present innovations from across the cleanroom spectrum. New to this year's Cleanzone Plaza are four concurrent panel discussions directly related to specific presentations from the congress.

Cleanzone has established itself in the industry in just a short time

A new feature of the Cleanzone Congress, which takes place alongside the exhibition, is its flexible structure. This year, participants can compile their own programmes from four modules, each of which covers a separate theme and can be booked separately.

ReinraumAkademie (Leipzig) will be continuing as content partner to the Cleanzone Congress, and will open its call for papers in the middle of this month.

Johannes Schmid-Wiedersheim, Director of New Events at Messe Frankfurt, said: 'Cleanzone has established itself in the industry in just a short time. Together with the exhibitors and dedicated partners, we have succeeded in creating a vibrant and efficient platform where the latest cleanroom technology can be experienced and business deals can be made. We attach particular importance to the international make-up and large number of industries represented amongst the trade visitors.'

Interested exhibitors can now register online and select their preferred stand location in the hall plan.
