The new quat/alcohol disinfectant also contains surfactants, and as such, no pre-clean step is required

Contec has released its new CyQuanol, an EPA-registered ready-to-use, intermediate cleaner/disinfectant. CyQuanol is a 0.2 micron filtered blend of Quaternary Ammonium and Ethyl Alcohol making it ideal for the most critical environments.

CyQuanol has a one minute contact time against bacteria, viruses, fungi and TB. This short contact time ensures compliance with the required dwell time, saving time in any life science facility. It also contains surfactants, and as such, no pre-clean step is required.

The new product joins a robust line of cleaners and disinfectants ideal for critical environments including sterile and non-sterile options as well as low endotoxin products.

CyQuanol is currently available non-sterile in a 32 oz (0.9 L) and 1 gallon (3.8 L) container. Sterile options are expected to be available in early Q1 of 2020. It is ideal for cleaning and disinfecting environmental surfaces in cleanrooms and laboratory areas including work stations, fume hoods, equipment and other hard non-porous environmental surfaces.
